Danielle McAllister is a highly experienced public servant with senior leadership roles spanning the Department of Education, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, the Department of Resources and the Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW).
In her current role as Deputy Director-General of Policy, Performance and First Nations in DHPW, Danielle provides strategic leadership in housing, homelessness, and youth policy.
She oversees intergovernmental relations, performance, and legislative frameworks, ensuring a cohesive and forward-thinking approach to addressing Queensland’s housing challenges.
Her division also regulates services for over 850 providers, including residential services, residential parks, retirement villages, and community housing providers, where Danielle’s regulatory expertise ensures best practice standards are upheld.

Danielle plays a pivotal role in advancing housing outcomes in remote and discrete Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
She works closely with local councils to drive initiatives focused on home ownership, capital delivery, tenancy management, and property portfolio oversight.
Her commitment to collaboration and culturally responsive approaches underpins her work in improving housing outcomes for First Nations communities.
